Program for Combat Veterans and Emergency Service Personnel

The Hudson Valley Center for Development offers counseling and support services for combat veterans and civilian emergency service personnel (police, firefighters, EMS) and their family members.  There are a large number of veterans and emergency service personnel who reside in the lower Hudson Valley, and recent studies indicate that a large number of such individuals may be experiencing symptoms related to posttraumatic stress (i.e. - nightmares, trouble sleeping, feeling closed off from loved ones, excessive alcohol intake, etc.).  This program was developed by Major Joseph Geraci, Ed,M., M.A., a graduate of the United States Military Academy and Columbia University, and a two-tour combat-arms veteran of the war in Afghanistan.  We are committed to protecting the privacy of the individual seeking services: all treatment is provided in a confidential setting in an outpatient medical building where standard medical services are also provided.  The Hudson Valley Center for Development provides in-network services for Tricare and a variety of other health insurance plans.  Major Geraci may be contacted directly via e-mail at hvcd@att.net, or you may call the number on the contact page to request an appointment.
